Bicyclist Dies Weeks After Being Struck By Car In Baltimore County: Police

Weeks after a 76-year-old man was struck by a car while riding his bike in Baltimore County, he died at the hospital, police confirmed.

Edward Files has been identified by investigators as the bicyclist who was struck by a Ford Taurus in the area of Taylor Avenue and Collinsdale Road in Parkville late last month.

According to the Baltimore County Police Department, at around 9:45 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 20, Files was on his bike on the sidewalk of Taylor Avenue when he struck the front of a Ford Tuarus that was exiting a driveway in thee area.

Files was rushed to an area hospital and succumbed to his injuries on Sunday, Oct. 13, investigators say.

The fatal crash remains under investigation.
